Morgan Yates from Westways - The 100th Anniversary of Route 66 | $10

Morgan Yates is an archivist and historian for the Auto Club of Southern California, a non-profit, member service institution with a multistate footprint. In his twenty-five plus years with the Auto Club he has developed a deeper understanding of the history of southern California and made extensive use of the collection highlights of historical photographs, maps, publications and our fine art collection in a range of activities, including teacher education, internal and external exhibits, lectures and presentations, plus in print, television, internet, and radio media. Morgan regularly contributes to Westways, the member magazine, by writing the popular "OffRamp" column that appears in every issue. These one-page, concisely written photo essays aimed at a general audience, are each an exploration of various aspects of our region's, natural and cultural landscapes.
Mr. Yates will give a presentation focusing on Claremont’s section of Route 66 at this the 100th anniversary of the “Mother Road”.
