Pilgrim Place is an intentional, caring multi-level senior living community striving to be socially responsible; environmentally responsible; diverse in race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and religion; and committed to excellence in health care and developing services that foster meaningful growth and dignity for all who live, work, and volunteer here.

Who We Are

Pilgrim Place is a Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) for those who’ve dedicated their lives to service and justice. Residents stay active in advocacy, friendship, and environmental stewardship; including a 50% water-use reduction, solar panel installations, and LEED-certified buildings. A full range of care; independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing is available to support residents as their needs evolve.

01 What type of contract does Pilgrim Place offer?

We offer a Type B Modified Contract, which includes housing, services, and priority access to higher levels of care as needed.


02 Is Pilgrim Place a licensed facility?

Yes—our licenses include Certificate of Authority No. 226, RCFE Facility No. 197607628, and Skilled Nursing Facility No. 950000084.


03 When was Pilgrim Place founded?

Pilgrim Place was founded in 1915 by the Congregational Church as a residence for missionaries and their families and has evolved into a nationally respected model of senior living with purpose.

We’re home to about 350 residents across various levels of care.


05 What kinds of residences are available?

We offer 185 private homes (600–1,800 sq ft), 57 assisted living apartments, 12 memory care beds, and 62 skilled nursing beds—with priority access for current residents.
