Whether residents need temporary short-term restorative therapy, long-term care, or respite care while caregivers are away, the Health Services center caters to the needs of each resident. Professional nurses under the supervision of a licensed Administrator pay close attention to the medical, psychological and emotional well being of each resident as defined by their uniquely tailored total health plan.
The Health Services Center offers the following services to residents of Pilgrim Place as well as from the wider community:
Dining Services
Menu selection is a unique and popular feature. Attractive and nourishing meals are provided in consultation with a Registered Dietician who also supervises the preparation of physician-ordered therapeutic diets.
Activities
Recreational, cultural, family, and religious events are planned on a daily basis by a full-time activities coordinator.
Spiritual
Pilgrim Place residents volunteer as chaplains who conduct weekly non-denominational religious services and make daily visits to residents.
Alzheimer’s
Resident care and activities have been specifically designed to meet the special needs of those with Alzheimer’s, dementia and other cognitive disorders. The Enrichment Center provides a structured day program that is open during the week for Alzheimer’s patients to promote socialization and provide respite to caregivers.
