Health Services Center - Skilled Nursing

Located on the Pilgrim Place campus, the Health Services Center is a fully licensed 68-bed skilled nursing facility available to residents as well as those from the community-at-large who need:

  1. Restorative therapies
  2. Short or long-term skilled nursing care
  3. Hospice-like services
  4. Respite program for caregivers

Considered the "heart" of Pilgrim Place, the Health Services center represents the true caring spirit of the Pilgrim community. Not only are the highest standards of medical care adhered to, but much emphasis is placed on the psychological and emotional well being of each resident.

For each incoming resident a care conference is held with family and key staff from nursing, food services, physical therapy and chaplaincy to develop a personalized total health plan. Under supervision of a licensed Administrator, a Medical Doctor (an M.D. under contract), a Director of Nurses and a team of trained and licensed health care professionals, each resident is closely monitored to ensure 24-hour care and treatment.

Since 1980, the Health Center has offered a warm and nurturing environment to those with special needs. With its patios, garden areas, brightly decorated community and dining rooms, and comfortable lounges, our facility provides pleasant places for visiting and social activities. In addition, residents are assured of safety and security with alarm systems.

The Pilgrim Place Health Services Center consistently ranks among the top skilled nursing facilities in the state according to the California Advocates for Nursing Home Reform’s well publicized annual listing.
