Creating "Home" Where the Best Care Happens
At Pilgrim Place - enhancing and improving the way elders are cared for at the Health Services Center - is top priority.
Our goal is to establish intimate, "home-like" neighborhoods that provide opportunities for residents to have more control over their lives and to be a participant in daily decision-making. In this "person-centered" model of care, emphasis is placed on skilled care that responds not only to residents' medical needs, but also to their social, emotional and spiritual needs.
The Health Services Center is a natural setting for this culture change since Pilgrim Place is known for its high level of resident involvement in decision-making, intentional caring for one another, and fulfilment of the individual's potential and personal rights.
