Our mission: to provide live harp music by certified harpists who know how to be with the seriously ill or dying. Through the team effort of a harpist and a trained volunteer, the patient and family members receive emotional and spiritual support.
Is there a difference between curing and healing? Often the terms are used interchangeably, and the distinctions seem subtle. But there can be an important difference-apparent to the harpists who provide live harp music through Harps for the Spirit program. Healing is a much broader and deeper place, encompassing not only physical comfort, but also emotional and spiritualwholeness – a total sense of well-being evenas the physical body can no longer be cured.
Harps for the Spirit is available to provide live harp music in hospitals, assisted living centers, hospice home centers and skilled nursing facilities in the Inland Valley communities of Claremont, La Verne, Montclair, Ontario, Pomona, Rancho Cucamonga, San Dimas, and Upland.
