Educational Programs

The Health Services Center provides outreach opportunities to nursing students and staff development training to current employees through the following programs:

Continuing Education
The Health Services Center houses two, technologically updated classrooms to support the continued education of current employees. Outside speakers are frequently brought in to provide current and updated medical information to nursing staff. Topics covered vary from medical topics such as medication administration to emotional and psychological themes such as sensitivity training. Overall, this program is designed to help Health Services Center staff maintain balance and a healthy outlook in a very demanding, high stress job. This in turn fosters a compassionate environment where the needs of the residents are lovingly prioritized.



Nursing Students
Every semester nursing students from local colleges participate in clinical training at the Health Services Center. These students are paired with current, licensed nurses who serve as a mentors and guides. During their internship, students learn to perform various medical tasks and how to provide top quality care to residents.


Nursing students come from the following schools:

  1. Chaffey Community College in Rancho Cucamonga – Certified Nursing Assistant (CAN) program
  2. Mt. San Antonio Community College in Walnut – Registered Nurse (RN) Program
  3. Summit College in Colton – Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) program
